We had a busy week with friends for this years celebration. We joined with two other couples to enjoy a relaxing break with kids friday at the beach-water was ice cold. If we had thought 9 months in advance we would have made reservations for camping, but went ahead to start a bonfire, there we enjoyed tin foil dinners, smores and games til 11:30. Saturday was time for red, white and blue-berry pancakes, made by Reed. We have hit a week of 90 degree weather and had to go swimming, a daily enjoyment of mine. Later that evening we met up with other couples to make home made "american" pizzas, games and fireworks, both watching and setting off our own. We were a little disspointed with Portlands fireworks but hope next year will be better. We had a great weekend overall and now are returning to preparing for the baby.

Glad to hear Reed is keeping up the red, white, and blue pancake tradition. Sounds like a fun weekend.
