Pittock Mansion Hike...Portland & Mt Hood in background!
This hike wasn't hard. We started at the top of Pittock Hill, placed named after millionaire very involved in Portland's development early 1900's I believe. The hike was only 1.8 miles long with switchbacks and some good ups and downs. At bottom we sat on park benches and enjoyed picnic and sunshine before heading back. There are plenty more trails down there but this one was a good basic one, you try carrying a 21lb baby on your back- Reed did this time, so I had nothing to complain about. From 1-10 this one RATED 7 (rated for families with kids). There were some not so happy moments:

The place was very green with plenty of trees...we felt rather small. IT WAS AWESOME!!!
