Saddleback Mountain

We went with some friends up Saddleback Mountain, uphill the whole way.  There we enjoyed a picnic, but had to keep the trip short, up and back down, because of the brutal winds.  We weren't expecting the cold so didn't have coats, poor Norah got really cold we had to bundle her in a blanket.  You should have seen us at first, we put layer after layer on her, socks became gloves and her shirt became a bandana, but still it was cold.  She was the a trooper!!  Thanks to Matt we were able to switch off carrying Norah and all make it to the top without any problem.

I make a tradition of taking pics before we start the hike and after we finish...this one shows the hike was a great exercise, enough for two sick people, a pregnant lady (not me, if that is what you were thinking) and us, who are still out of shape.  We rate it a 9/10.  Moderate climb, gorgeous views and fun switchbacks, so worth seeing.  The only negative was the long drive there.   But check out our new hiking poles...we really like those.

What a beautiful hike! Do you like the walking poles? Derrick thinks it's funny that I would LOVE to have some.
