I couldn't begin to express how grateful I am for so many things. My Savior first, my beautiful family and of course wonderful friends. Here are some of the things I tend to forget to be grateful for, and was reminded of this weekend.
Firstly, I am grateful for seatbelts, small strollers and big trunks. We went to the OMSI, and as I forgot to bring the baby carrier we had to be resourceful. Luckily our trunk is like Mary Poppins bag of tricks and had our convenient stroller and a scarf to help out. We created our own seatbelts.I also must give thanks for SUSHI, my favorite amongst all foods. Life wouldn't be the same without it, especially when it has fried shrimp...heavenly! And Wasabi has got to be the funnest place to go for sushi too, just look at the cool boat they provide.
I am grateful for dogs yes, but I also am grateful that Norah is finally getting over her fear of dogs. Who knew I would have a kid who hated dogs as much as I love dogs. However, now we are seeing hope! Here she prefers the quietest ones, as she was trying to hush them up at the animal shelter, with no luck.
We go to the shelter once a month, as I have been hoping to train her to like dogs so that we could get one someday. Usually she is SCREAMING and crawling all over me before we enter the room. Yet, when Aunt Aly comes to visit she just walks right up to one and feeds it. Notice it is a small dog, as she still doesn't like the big ones. But, at least we see a step in the right direction.
We went to visit the OMSI this weekend, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. There are so many things to be grateful for when it comes to science and technology. We were enjoying the mirror warping images for a while, not caught as well by the camera. Yet, we would have fit right in in the movie Willow. So I guess I want to share my gratitude for my healthy body too.
Lastly, this week reminded me how special the temple is. I made Aly follow me wherever I went, which included a youth trip to the Oregon Temple. While there I was reminded how great life is with the gospel of Jesus Christ and how greatly I have been blessed because of it.
