I braved a white water rapids rafting trip with Reed, June 21st. I know that getting me close to water is a temptation for all my friends to get me wet, but even more of a temptation for Reed. Luckily we were in the same boat and he only let others raft jumpers "almost" pull me out of the boat. I timed how long it took before I got soaked and started throwing buckets of water at either our friends in the other boat or even rafters who wanted in on our water war. Within the first 10 minutes I was drenched...it was cold. I wasn't prepared for how cold Oregon water can be, it always looks so nice from the pictures.
The funnest part was floating down a stretch of the cold river in just my vest. The moment I hit water my lungs shriveled up. It was hard to breathe at first, but as soon as I realized I could infact breathe I loved floating down through the rapids. I would do it again too. (bonus point for Oregon)
I plan on going back to Oregon soon, anyone have suggestions where to go when I get there?
