We gave the young women an excuse to start prepping for Trek. We did an amazing race hike, with stops along the way requiring making decisions and dealing with the consequences.
We ended in the "wedding field" where we had a short devotional and had lunch. A reminder to the young women the importance of making the right decisions that will lead them to the temple, their wedding day. Not to mention having a group hug, to make even the grumpy hikers smile. :)
The Laurels ended up having a spa nite later that week. We did waxing, pedicures and made some root beer floats. We had a toast to our graduate, Nicole. Now I know why some women do this once a month, it was so relaxing. I wasn't bold enough to get my nose hairs waxed, as some did, but I tried it out....oww!
